This is a comedy/drama set in Manhattan, Kansas. So not Sex in the City or Euphoria. And it has more heart than both of those combined.
The protagonist, Sam, has moved back to her hometown after her dreams have faded away, in order to take care of her sister, who has passed away by the time the show starts. She’s going through the motions of living but that involves dealing with family, work, and, most of all, life.
We’ll all recognized these people and the trials and tribulations they meet as they go through their daily life.
This is mid-40s life angst taken small bite by smile bite.
Only four episodes so far, but I highly recommend it for some low-key, soul-touching entertainment.
