New York City took the brunt of COVID when it first appeared with staggering losses. We can look to the city as a forecast of what will happen elsewhere.
Omicron is spreading like wildfire, setting record numbers for infections all over the world. As you can see above, the city is getting slammed. Infections are far above anything previously. But look at the deaths.
The city is 91% vaccinated.
Now. What will happen in Florida, which is 63% vaccinated?
And elsewhere, where politicians are virulently anti-vax mandates and anti-mask. Essentially anti-science? Deaths. Hospitalizations. Ancillary deaths from the broken medical system.
To me this is homicide.
Please get vaccinated.
Get boosted.
Wear a mask. And by mask, not a piece of cloth or a surgical mask. Valid N-95s are now widely available. Or at least KN-95s. It’s difficult to find approved masks as there are a lot of fakes out there. These are on the approved list of the CDC. I recommend doing your own search on this, though. I’ve bought a lot of masks over the past two years and had to toss quite a few as not being reliable.
